Everything in one window, nothing to set up
Show it instead of describing it
Record the whole screen, one window, or a single tab. Pick it once and the recording starts — no project to create, no file to name first.
What should be recorded?
One click. The recording starts where you are.
Put yourself in the corner
A camera bubble you can move, resize, make round, and mirror. People follow an explanation better when somebody is visibly giving it.
Position
The format a course actually needs
Screen, face and your voice in one file — for lessons, walkthroughs and demos. Ninety minutes in one take, no editing software involved.
Sharp enough to read the small text
Full HD is free. Sharper is included in the paid plan, and you always see beforehand how much disk space half an hour will take.

Comparison of free plans, checked on 15 August 2026 on each vendor’s own pages. Loom Starter (free): 25 videos, 5 minutes per screen recording, up to 720p, account required; meeting recordings are not length-limited; recordings are stored in Loom’s cloud — loom.com/pricing. Screen Studio: no free plan — without a subscription every feature works except exporting a video file, and recordings are processed locally and are not uploaded unless you create a share link; macOS only — screen.studio. BlocRec free: 30 minutes per recording at up to 1080p with a small BlocRec watermark; the file is written to your disk and nothing is uploaded. Vendors change their plans — check the linked pages before you rely on this. BlocRec is an independent product and is not affiliated with these companies.
A link, ready the second you stop
The upload runs while you record — so there is no waiting after a two-hour session. Paste the link into an email and you are done.

A course lesson
Ninety minutes in one take. Nobody has to cut it into five-minute pieces.
The same explanation, again
Record the walkthrough once, send the link every time somebody asks.
Instead of eleven steps
Show where to click. Two minutes of video beat a numbered list.
Handing a project over
Two hours of context for whoever takes over, recorded while you work.
Cheap, and never per person
Free covers short recordings. Paid removes the limit and gives you a link to send.

Questions people actually ask
Is it really free, or free until it matters?
30 minutes per recording, Full HD, a small watermark, and the file lands on your own disk. No card, no account. What costs money is the link you can send other people — the only thing that costs us anything.
Do I have to install something?
No. It runs in the browser you already have. No extension, no desktop app, nothing to update.
Where does my recording go?
Free: into a file you choose on your own computer, and nowhere else. Paid: also to our storage in the EU while you record, so the link is ready when you stop. You can delete it any time, and the local file stays yours either way.
Does it really survive several hours?
That is the one thing we test before every release: two hours at Full HD, memory flat from start to finish, the file playable and seekable afterwards.
Which browsers work?
Chrome and Edge get everything. Firefox and Safari work with a length limit we show you up front, instead of letting you find out at minute 40.
Can I record a meeting?
You can — but in Germany recording a private conversation without everyone knowing is a criminal offence under § 201 StGB. We show that notice once, before your first recording with a microphone, and we will never build a hidden recording mode.
What happens if I cancel?
The watermark comes back, your videos stay reachable for 30 days, then you get an email, then they are deleted. Nothing disappears without warning, and every file you recorded locally is untouched.
Open it and hit record. That is the whole setup.
